A colorful molded incense holder in the shape of a ferocious foo dog. An unglazed round clay ball in the mouth represents the pearl of wisdom. The ball rotates freely in the open mouth. The top of the head has a round hole to put a cone of incense or for adding something to hold a joss stick.

The body of the stand has a thin green lead glaze that has pooled in spots. The bulging eyes have been glazed a black color and there is a spot of red brown glaze on the forehead as well as a few spots in the mouth. A creamy color is visible under the brown glaze.

The interior is hollow and you can see the white clay. The clay on the base has red colorations from iron oxidizing during firing. Glaze has run onto the foot. Four removable green felt pads are on the corners to prevent scratches to table surfaces

MEASUREMENTS

9 ½” (24.1 cm) tall x 3 1/8” (7.9 cm) deep x 2 ¼” (5.7 cm) wide. Weighs 1 lb 14.7 oz (875 g)
