A nice oval flow blue covered serving dish or tureen by Ridgways in the Sefton Pattern c. 1905. The tureen has a series of borders. Starting from the edge of the lid is a wide dark vining border, then a floral border, then a more delicate vine. Closest to the crown-shaped finial is a border comprised of gilded flourishes. The order is repeated on the bowl.
It is marked on the bottom RIDGEWAY ENGLAND ROYAL STEM PORCELAIN and SEFTON.

12” (30.5 cm) long x 7 ½” (19.0 cm) wide x 5 ½” (14.0 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 15.1 oz (880 g)
CONDITION
The dish has no cracks, chips or repairs. Very little wear to the interior, but there is light to moderate wear to the gilding. There is a kiln flaw inside the bowl, as well as wear on the tips of the foot. The dish wobbles a little on a flat surface.
