A colorful finely made pin of an antique jade button that has been repurposed in the 1920s to make a piece of jewelry.
 
An oval pierced apple green jade matrix in a white piece of jade has been incorporated into a pin with a sterling silver mount. The edge of the pin has been enhanced with a ribbon of tiny clear glass beads. This band of beads is attached by means of four silver prongs. There is an old hinged pin mount with a movable latch. The silver has polished up nicely.
 
The word STERLING is stamped mark on the back rim.
 
MEASUREMENTS
 
1” (2.5 cm) long x 5/8” (1.6 cm) wide x 3/16” (47 mm) thick. Weighs .1 oz (3.1 g)
 
CONDITION  
 
There are no cracks, dents, or losses. The jade was drilled originally with small holes for a button. The silver mount has polished well.
