A heavy bronze brush pot with archaic dragon head handles and bamboo figural feet that has been patinated with a dark brown color. The base shows the brush marks  from applying the patina. Gold from the bronze shows through on the feet.
 
MEASUREMENTS
 
4” (10.2 cm) wide x 2 5/8” (6.7 cm) diameter x 4 ¼” (10.8 cm) tall. Weighs 14.3 oz (395 g)
 
CONDITION
 
There are no breaks, chips, dents, or cracks. There are losses to the patina around the edge of the mouth, on the lower body near where the feet attach, and on the bottoms of the feet.   
 
A very Chinese-looking Japanese brush pot that is heavy and will be good for holding brushes on the scholar’s desk, or even other odd bits.
