Intimate workmanship by expert artisans have made this pair of cloisonné ginger jars.
Cast brass has been coated in green enamels with fine brass wire cells to form extensive designs of hanging jewels on both the jars and lids. The designs are very detailed and expertly executed. The exposed brass on the mouth and foot is a nice golden color. The undersides of the lids and bases on the jars is covered in a turquoise enamel.
There is the remnant of an old export paper label on the base of one jar.
