A hand potted and painted food container with a small crackle glaze and a quick painted decoration.

A porcelain hand thrown round jar shape with an unglazed squared cut foot and a cut round glazed mouth. The glaze covering the piece is very soft, thick and has a nice small fine crackle and good glaze control. The glaze stops just above the foot. There is a circular ring near the mouth where a lid would have rested. The jar is decorated with two circular lines and two swoosh like designs done in a brownish underglaze enamel.
The base is glazed and the foot has small red iron fire spots. There are no porcelain marks.75
