An early 20th century fine crafted gau box with a repousse front panel for traveling with your prayers.
The front of the box is made from a low-grade Tibetan silver and is decorated with a series of Buddhist designs with scrolling. The craftmanship is very fine. The front has a front window with a figure of buddha visible inside. The body has copper siding and rear panels. There is a prayer flag inside.
The brown, blue and yellow quilted cloth traveling case helps protect the very soft copper sides. It has a button latch to keep it closed.
MEASUREMENTS
3 5/8" (9.2 cm) tall x 3 1/4" (8.3 cm) wide x 1 3/8" (3.4 cm) deep. Weighs 4.7 oz (135 g)
CONDITION
