A heavy shoe match holder in the shape of a Victorian lady's high-top shoe. It has ridges on the base to light a match.
The heavy cast iron match holder is nicely detailed and sharply cast. The shoe has a black patina with hand-painted gold embellishments, including the fastener buttons. The base has been painted with a stippling design that approximates granite. The base underside has two flat head screws with washers that hold the shoe to the base.
