A detailed Chinese wood carving of a servant or courtier that is holding an offering. The carving of the belt is pierced so that you can see between the robe and the belt.  The details are very good on the robe folds and on the face. The carving is very round and deep.

The figure has traces of gesso and gilding. The base is flat and has some losses. The wood is very lightweight.

There is a very old red and white paper label on the base that reads #27 A.
