Cast Iron St. Bernard Bank A C Williams Circa 1910

A nicely cast-iron bank of a shaggy St. Bernard dog carrying a pack. The two halves of the molded cast iron bank are held together by a slotted flat screw. The metal on the bank has an antique patina with a few traces of gold paint. The bank rests level on its four paw feet and is very heavy for its size.

MEASUREMENTS

5 ½” (14.0 cm) long x 1 7/8” (4.8 cm) wide x 3 ¾” (9.5 cm) tall. Weighs 15.4 oz (430 g)

CONDITION

There are no breaks, dents, cracks, or repairs. The gold paint is now mostly worn off, although there are remnants on his chest, the harness, and along the edges when open . There are some rust spots to the screw head, tail and on the lower edge of the pack above the screw.
