The bamboo cage has been made by hand with a carved base and a brass c hook for hanging. There are three porcelain cups for feed and water. One cup has under glaze cobalt decoration and the other two have polychrome decoration. The base has some metal strips for holding the base on. There are carved adornments on the cage.
The only mark is a stenciled iron red mark on the base of the larger water cup.
