Italian Alabaster Marble Lamp Neoclassic Amphora Shape Circa 1920

A tall lamp made from marble that makes a classical statement. It has a very sinuous shape and feel.

 

The tall hand carved white marble lamp was made in Italy. It has a classic Greco Roman amphora shape, with laurel-like handles and a base that resembles a carved marble column. There is old gray felt on the base. It is very heavy and will stay put on a surface. The marble feels cool and soft to the touch.

 

The lamp has a brown 40’s/50’s cord and plug.

The lamp works and the cord is in good condition. There are chips on two corners of the base, on the back above the carved column, and a couple of chips on the edge of a column on the back. There are also some spots of brown discoloration on one side, and a couple of scratches on the front body. It does not include a final or cap for the top. This way you can find one that complements your room.

 

A useful and heavy lamp with a very rich aged classic look. It will stand out in many decors from Mid Century to Traditional.
