Japanese Dragon Inro Ojime Netsuke Hand Carved Signed

A hand carved boxwood Japanese inro, ojime and netsuke with a dragon design on each pieces.

A hand carved inro with its matching ojime and netsuke of dragons that is carved from boxwood. The wood has a nice clear tone with slight patterns. The carving is deep and accurate. It is very detailed with the dragon's scales, clouds, and hair. The three pieces of the inro are held together by a copper-colored cord. The ojime moves to open and close. The dragon netsuke holds the inro on a sash. The interior compartments of the inro are stained with a dark color. 

The artist's signature is on the bottom of the inro.

Inro – 3 3/8 in (8.4 cm) long x 2 ¼ in (5.1 cm) wide x 1 1/8 in (2.9 cm) thick

Netsuke - 1 ½ in (3.8 cm) diameter

Ojime – 1 1/8 in (2.9 cm) tall

Weighs 3.8 oz (95 g)

CONDITION

There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or repairs. The cord shows wear but is secure.

A work of the wood carver's art that is amazing. The fine detail and artistic design are incredible. Great to add to a collection or use for display.
