A fun and nostalgic set of figurines of a mama poodle and her pup with that 1950’s spaghetti fur.
The mother poodle has a ceramic collar with a ring and chain that attaches to the pup. They have fine porcelain strands that make up the fur on the poodles. They both have accents of gold and finely painted facial features. The feet are unglazed with holes for firing. The mother has the number 885 stamped on the bottom.
MEASUREMENTS
Large poodle – 4 ¾” (12.1 cm) tall
Small poodle – 2 ¼” (5.7 cm) tall
Total weight 5.7 oz (165 g)
CONDITION
The poodles have no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. The “spaghetti” hair is in very good condition with few – if any – losses. The painting on the face is in excellent condition. There are minor losses to the gilding on the collars and body. The most significant loss to the gilding is on the top of the hoop that secures the chain on the pup. The metal chain has tarnished.
A great pair of fun poodles to add to your collection or keep out to decorate your midcentury décor.
