Colorful, patterned, soft as silk short, cased glass vase. It is hand blown and has a pontil mark on the base. The glass looks like a pink mother of pearl.

A round hand-blown glass vase was first hand-blown from white glass and then coated with rose-colored glass to encase it. The mouth is crimped, and the opening shows the white interior. There is a chevron pattern on the rose-colored glass, The rose color is more intense near the surface and graduates lighter towards the base. The rounded base rests flat but the pontil has a sharp edge in spots. The glass has a soft, slick feel and a shiny look.

MEASUREMENTS
4 ½” (11.4 cm) diameter x 3 ½” (8.9 cm) tall. Weight 9.9 oz (280 g)

CONDITION
There are no cracks, breaks, or chips. There is a manufacturing flaw where the surface is folded on one side towards the top. There are some small black spots in the interior; these might clean out with more intensive cleaning efforts (we didn’t want to risk damaging the glass!). The bowl is very fresh, bright, and colorful. An amazing piece of glass.

This is the silkiest feeling piece of glass. It is so complex and has so much going on. A true work of the glass blowers art.
