A finely-detailed molded flint glass serving platter with a frosted central panel of cranes in a wetland that shows a mother crane with two young. The crane was an often-used motif circa 1870.
 
The cranes are standing in water near a lily of the valley flower. The central panel is frosted while the outer edge is clear. The rim has a round medallion pattern. The dish’s foot is a square, shallow and raised.
 
MEASUREMENTS
 
11 7/8” (30.2 cm) long x 8” (20.3 cm) wide x 1 3/8” (3.4 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 14.3 oz (855 g)
 
CONDITION
 
There are a couple of rim chips under one handle. There is another larger chip on the rim near the other handle. There are no other chips, cracks, or breaks. There is wear and scratches to the well and the foot from age and use.
 
A great serving dish with an aesthetic movement nature pattern to add to a collection or use to serve canapes.
