Product variants

A fun molded pottery figurine of the Disney character Pluto with his head tilted up and howling. It is a vintage piece from the 40’s.

The molded lightweight ceramic figurine is made from a pinkish clay. The base has a firing hole in the center of one foot. The glaze on the figure is a match for the clay with a pinkish cast. Rose, black, gray and white have been used to accent the face, ears, and tail.

There are no labels. There is a production number scratched into the base surface. It looks like the number nine.

MEASUREMENTS

6” (15.2 cm) tall x 3 7/8” (9.8 cm) deep x 3 ½” (8.9 cm) wide. Weighs 5.0 oz (140 g)

CONDITION

There are no cracks or breaks. There is a tiny chip on the base under a toe. It is difficult to see because the similarity of the color of the clay and the glaze. The unglazed base has scratches from wear.

A fun, vintage, figurine of Pluto to add to your early Disney collection. I love the fun, comic expression on Pluto’s face.
