Hand-blown barber bottle with opalescent cased glass in red and white stripes. A tour de force of the glass-blowing art.

A tall-necked round body glass bottle that has red base glass that has been coated with milky white glass, forming stripes. The base pontil has been ground smooth.
The red glass at the mouth, which is lipped, has a shine to it. The uneven lip shows handmade workmanship. The red shows through and has an inner glow. The bottle has a nice satin feel to the touch.

MEASUREMENTS
7 ¼” (18.4 cm) tall x 4” (10.2 cm) diameter. Weight 11.5 oz (320 g)

CONDITION
There are no chips, cracks, or breaks. There is slight wear to the mouth. It would have had a fitting or stopper for usage. The bottle looks bright and clean.

A bottle out of history, when things were more ornate. It’s also a piece of art glass.
