A set of three hand painted plates that have fun and colorful flower designs. They were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920's.

Three molded pottery plates that have hand painted designs of bright purple and orange pansy-like flowers colors. They have shallow rounded foot rims and glazed bases. The bases are stamped with the words “Hand-painted Czechoslovakia”

***Please note*** we are also selling a pitcher from the Potters Co-Operative Co with a very similar design painted by Joseph Mrazek. It would coordinate very well with this set of plates.

MEASUREMENTS

8” (20.3 cm) diameter x 1” (2.5 cm) deep. Weighs 1 lb 15.1 oz (880 g)

CONDITION

There is wear to the orange on the rims and flowers, as well as a little wear on a few green leaves. The plates wells show wear and scratches. One plate has a tiny chip on the foot, with a hairline extending from it. Another plate has a small concussion mark in the glaze on the base. Both hairlines are only visible from the back.  All three plates also have manufacture flaws, such as bumps, spots, and glaze cracks.

A fun set to add color and nostalgia to your kitchen.
