Vintage Italian Micro Mosaic Rectangular Pin

Minute, colorful, intricate handmade pin from Italy that shines and scintillates in the light. The workmanship is so expert and experienced to make something this small and complex.

A metal shallow rectangular open sided box has been filled with a matrix of twisted brass wires. Small pieces of colorful glass have been placed within this matrix to make a mosaic picture of flowers and circles. The glass pieces come in so many colors and shapes. They reflect and shine with every color of the rainbow. The pieces are so very tiny. It is a wonder the person didn’t go blind making this pin. There is a pin with loop fastener on the back.

CONDITION

There are no breaks or losses. There are some discolorations in the metal on the back. The metal shows signs of oxidization.
