An antique white Copeland ironstone ceramic mold/mould in the shape of a pineapple that was used for jelly or other foods. A pineapple was Victorian rarity, and a symbol of hospitality.

The heavy ironstone food mold has a pineapple design in the well. When used it would give a design of a pineapple on the top of your aspic or dessert. The ceramic is very white and has a fluted side border. It has a raised foot and an indented base. The word COPELAND impressed into the base.

MEASUREMENTS

7 1/8” (18.1 cm) long x 5 ¼” (13.3 cm) wide x 4 ¾” (12.1 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 15.7 oz (900 g)

CONDITION

The mold has no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. There is some very light staining on the side walls from use.

An amazing food mold that was used but has survived to today. I love the geometric pineapple design.
