A highly ornamental silver plate syrup pitcher with etching and repousse. Such an elegant and artistic syrup pitcher for your morning pancakes!

A tall tapering cylindrical vessel with a looped handle. The lid is hinged with a flat stop. The pouring spout is set back from the rim to help stop drips. The metal is heavy and originally had shiny silver plates; however, most of the silver has been polished off. The body has an etched design of flowers and berries. Above the base is a repousse band of floral scrolling. The foot is raised. The lid has polished up well, as has the repousse band and base.

There is a mark stamped on the middle of the base. GREAT EASTERN SILVERWARE CO. WARRANTED QUADRUPLE PLATE and the number 219. The wording forms a circle.

MEASUREMENTS
8 ¼” (21.0 cm) tall x 3 ½” (8.9 cm) diameter x 5” (12.7 cm) wide. Weighs 15.7 oz (445 g)

CONDITION
There are no dents, cracks, or breaks. The hinge on the lid is slightly loose. The piece would look amazing if it were re-plated.

A great large syrup that has much handwork and artistry.
