An antique pictorial Chinese wool rug with a Chinese ship (junk) riding into the sunset with birds flocking around the ship. The setting sun is reflecting off the wake left by the sailing ship. The rug has a medium height pile made from 100% wool on a cotton foundation. 90 knots per inch. The rug has gently rounded corners and fringe along the top and bottom. The sides are bound.

CONDITION

The rug is in good vintage condition and has been cleaned. There is some wear consistent with age including worn areas and some open/loose ends. It shows wear along the top and bottom edges, as well as a bit of wear on the binding along the sides (please see photos). Repairs/Restoration available if requested.
