A beautifully hand painted rococo-style porcelain creamer and open sugar bowl set with cobalt blue ground, gold gild, and courting couple scenes. The pieces are oblong with scalloped sides and lots of gold,
The pieces are marked on the bottom with a Karl Richard Klemm hallmark with the word “Dresden”. Klemm was located in nearby Striesen and founded in 1869. This trademark was registered in 1888. The company was merged with other companies towards the end of WWI (1918) and the mark was no longer used.

Sugar bowl – 5 in (12.7 cm) long x 3 ½ in (8.9 cm) wide x 2 ¾ in (7.0 cm) tall.

CONDITION
There are no cracks, chips or repairs on creamer. The sugar has a V-shaped hairline extending from the rim. The enamels on both pieces are very bright and show little wear. The gilding on both pieces show light-moderate wear, especially on the side of the handle on the creamer.
