A colorful and nostalgic planter from the 1950's that will help to give your plants a note of color.
 
The molded ceramic planter has been glazed with air brush in a rainbow of colors. It rests on a flat unglazed base. It has no hallmark or labels, but we believe it was manufactured by Royal Copely
 
MEASUREMENTS
 
8 ½ in (21.6 cm) long x 4 1/8 in (10.5 cm) wide x 5 ½ in (14.0 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 0.4 oz (460 g)
 
CONDITION
 
One hairline extend from both sides of the rim for about 2 in each and there is a short glaze crack also running from the rim. There is a chip under the tail that has been colored in. There is some wear and crazing on the interior. The outside is still bright and fresh looking with crazing limited mostly to his beak. The unglazed base has some spotting. 
 
An amusing and unusual planter from the 1950's that will add to your windowsill plant collection.
