A porcelain wall pocket in the shape of a Buddhist hand fruit.

The molded porcelain wall pocket has a flat back and a hole for mounting. It has been hand painted to resemble a piece of Buddhist hand fruit with a branch. It has details, such as bark on the branch, spots on the fruit, and colors transitioning from pink to yellow green. The back and interior are unglazed. The clay looks a pale buff color.

MEASUREMENTS

6” (15.2 cm) tall x 3 ¼” (3.3 cm) wide x 2 ¾” (7.0 cm) deep. Weighs 9.5 oz (260 g)

CONDITION

There are no cracks, chips, or breaks. The bump close to the branch might be a repair because it is whiter than the white at the end of the branch. The glazes are still bright and shiny.

A fun, handmade wall pocket to add to a collection or use to hold things.
