The panels have a single character each in gilt. The four characters are ten thousand, palace or boundary, unlimited and longevity.
The bowl has a raised foot that is unglazed and a glazed base. The base has a six-character stamped iron red reign mark for the Guangxu emperor.

The bowl has one rim chip. There are no other chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. The enamels are bright and fresh. There are kiln flaws, such as black spots, little bumps and pin holes. One flaw in the glaze is visible on a flower on the exterior (see photo)
