A hand painted and hand potted Ming bowl with that great Wanli blue cobalt from the 16th Century.
The thin porcelain shallow bowl has been painted with underglaze cobalt in designs of precious objects and a central bird in a garden. It has a barbed rim and a shallow unglazed foot.
The bowl is unmarked.

5 5/8” (14.3 cm) diameter x 1 1/8” (2.9 cm) deep. Weighs 4.2 oz (120 g)
CONDITION
There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or repairs. There are glaze frits on the mouth rim, and kiln flaws, such as pimple reserves, black spots, and bumps. There is wear to the central well.
A very old blue and white bowl to add to a collection or use to add richness and age to a display of blue and white.
