A monochrome celadon Porcelain Chinese or possibly Korean bowl with a soft, thick feeling celadon green colored glaze that shows age. The shape is based on a very traditional design from the Song Dynasty (although is bowl dates from circa 1900)

The molded bowl has fluted sides hand an unglazed raised foot. The base is glazed with the same glaze as on the body. The glaze has flowed and pooled very slightly on the bowl interior and exterior fluted sides. The glaze feels very soft and thick. The bowl shows its age with wear scratches in the well of the bowl.

There are no marks or labels. We believe the bowl is Chinese but could be from Korea.

7 ½” (19.0 cm) diameter x 2 ½” (6.4 cm) tall. Weighs 15.5 oz (705 g)

There are no breaks or cracks. There is one small glaze or rim chip and wear scratches in the well. There are a few black spot kiln flaws.

A nicely colored monochrome to add to a collection or decorate with. Such a nice celadon green color.
