An antique creamer with a bucolic design of a thatched English cottage on the body and sheep on the lid.

An English cottage transfer decorates this creamer. The lightweight ceramic has an off-white glaze with a colorful transfer. The rose finial, lid edge, creamer mouth and handle have hand painted burgundy accents. The foot is shallow with flat partial glazing. The base is glazed.

There is a transfer mark on the base that reads: COPELAND SPODE ENGLAND within and around a rectangle mark. There is also a hand painted production number in yellow of 2 1030 2. Spode used this mark on earthenware between 1891 into the 1930s.
