A fun and very Art Deco pair of patinated bookends from the 1930’s. A little boy with his toy sailboat that is so very charming.

The heavy molded pair of gray metal bookends in the shape of a small boy with a sailboat tucked under his arm. They have a gilded finish and a stepped base with a brown finish. There are newer green felts on the bases. They rest flat on a surface.

There are no marks showing on the bookends. They might be marks under the felts.

3 7/8” (9.8 cm) wide x 3 ¼" (8.3 cm) deep x 7 ½” (19.0 cm) tall. Weighs 2 lbs 15.0 oz (1330 g)

There are no breaks or repairs. One bookend has cracks around the edge of the base. There are losses to the brown paint on both stepped bases. There are a few gilding losses on the sailor boys. They have a very nice golden appearance.

A great, colorful, cute pair of bookends to use or add to a collection.
