A large free form Raku dish with free style design of a fisherman with his fish catch. A definite one off piece of Japanese art.

The ceramic dish has been hand formed and then fired in the raku style. The shape is not symmetrical and has wavy sides. It has a crackle glaze. The painting is very quick, free and artistic. The base has a black, unglazed foot with a divot in the raised foot.

There is an impressed two-character Japanese mark on the base by the foot.
