A pair of heavy metal bookends of sitting pharaohs with falcons behind their heads. The bookends have very deep brown finish that resembles basalt.

The casting is deep, The metal body rest on black painted wood blocks with a metal plaque on the front base of one of the bookends that reads K. CEPHREN. The other bookend is missing the plaque. Both bookends have old green felt on the bases.

3 3/8” (8.4 cm) long x 1 7/8” (4.8 cm) wide x 5 7/8” tall (14.9 cm). Weighs 4 lbs 5.7 oz (1975 g)

There are no breaks, cracks, or dents. There is some loss the finish on the faces and on the bases, and a spot of green corrosion behind the neck on one pharaoh. There are chips on the faces and edges of the bases. Also, the patina has a more copper-color where it has worn on highlights. One bookend is missing the metal plaque.

A great pair of bookends that have the look of ancient black basalt sculptures.
