Pair of Small Victorian Amethyst Bristol Glass Vase 19th Century

A matched pair of deep amethyst - almost black -  Victorian Bristol Glass vases that are decorated with delicate, hand-painted flowers.
 
The pair of glass vases were hand blown into a mold. You can see the pontil marks on the bases. The glass is amethyst but looks black. When held to the light though you can see the purple. They have gilt accents around the neck, foot, mouth and design. 
 
The vases have no hallmarks.
 
MEASUREMENTS
 
5 ½ in (14.0 cm) tall x 2 1/8 in (5.4 cm) diameter. Weighs 8.9 oz (250 g)
 
CONDITION
 
There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or repairs. There is wear to the gilding on both vases; although one vase has more gilding than the other. The enamels are bright and fresh.
 
A fun small matched pair of Victorian glass vases to decorate with or add to a Bristol glass collection. Put them where they will catch the light in order to see the amethyst color.
