Three hand painted porcelain Chinese dishes with rice patterns. The dishes have similar designs of pagodas, landscapes, and Daoist symbols. The painting is very fine with good line quality. The blue is a dark blue cobalt and the porcelain is white with a nice shiny, smooth glaze. They all have unglazed foot rings.
There is a Qianlong mark in cobalt on the base of the bowl, Kangxi mark on the base of the saucer and the word CHINA on the sauce dish.
Bowl – 4 ½” (11.4 cm) diameter x 2 ¼” (5.6 cm) tall.
Saucer – 5 ½” (14.0 cm) diameter x 1” (2.5 cm) tall
Sauce dish – 4” (10.2 cm) diameter x 1 1/8” (2.9 cm)
Weighs 13.1 oz (370 g)
There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The bowl has a couple of glaze frits on the mouth rim and chips on the inner foot rim. The saucer has a small amount of grit on the foot. All three pieces have kiln flaws, such as bumps, glaze reserves, and pin holes. All pieces show very little wear and the glazes are fresh and bright.
A set of similar dishes that have much detail and hand work.
