Vintage 27 in Malachite and Gilt Bead Necklace 1960’s or 1970s

A colorful, heavy necklace that has good glitter and will hang nicely.

 

The 27 inch long necklace has 64 malachite beads and 16 gilt beads that has been hand knotted on a green cord. The malachite beads are heavy with good striations. The gilt beads are in two shapes. One shape is a ridged ball and the other is a flattened disc shape. The two beads have slightly different colors of gilding. The clasp is a pierced ovoid shape with a flower in the center. The clasp is connected by a hook like spring.

There are no breaks, chips, or cracks in the beads. The gilded beads have some wear but still have much of their gold color. The cord and latch are in excellent condition.
