A colorful, nostalgic figurine of Elmer Fudd from the 1940s that will add to your collection.
 
The base has a hole each in the two base shoe soles. The base is not glazed. The clay looks pinkish. The figurine was hand painted.
 
There are some marks stamped in black on the base. There is a C within a circle for the copyright mark. With the name Leon Schlesinger next to and below it. There is an H on the opposite foot. Leon Schlesinger as the American film producer who founded Leon Schlesinger Productions, which created Bugs Bunny and later became Warner Bros. after his death in 1949.
 
MEASUREMENTS
 
6” (15.2 cm) tall. Weighs 7.0 oz (205 g)
 
CONDITION
 
There are no breaks, repairs or cracks. The only chip is a tiny one on the butt of the gun. The painting is in generally good shape with significant crazing. There are painting mistakes like missed areas and the glazes were thin. The red marks to his nose and cheeks are less pronounced than on some other examples of this same figurine, and so have either worn or else was never applied to the same extent. The piece was hand painted and so there are variances from one figurine to another.
 
A fun figurine to add to your collection. All you need now is that wascally wabbit.
