Vintage Japanese Bronze Lidded Bamboo Motif Lamp

A heavy vintage Japanese cast bronze censor with a matching lid and a tripod footed base that has been made into a lamp. The metal was patinated with a rich dark golden color. The base is a black colored composite with a hole for an old brown electric cord. The base has an old gray felt. There is a modern looking lamp harp with a round screw finial.

The socket is stamped with It reads LEVITON MADE IN USA, 250 W , 250 V and the word PRESS by the switch. The plug is by eagle

17 ½” (44.4 cm) tall with harp. 6” (15.2 cm) diameter. Weighs 4 lbs 1.7 oz (1865 g)

There are no cracks, dents or breaks. There is wear to the patination in spots. There is some wear to the base There is a hole through the lid and base for the electric fittings. The electric wire and plug are in very good condition.
