A fun and colorful figurine of Sniffles the Mouse from the 1940’s. Sniffles was a Warner Brothers cartoons from the 1940s and 1950s. He was a cute character with a high-pitched child’s voice. Shaw Pottery made a couple of different sizes of Sniffles and this is the 4 ¾” tall version.
The base is flat with a pinkish unglazed clay. There is a firing hole in the base center. The letter A is hand painted on the base.
MEASUREMENTS
4 ¾” (12.1 cm) tall x 4 ¼” (10.8 cm) deep x 4” 10.2 cm) wide. Weighs 7.5 oz (210 g)
CONDITION
There are three glaze chips on his hat and one on his ear. There is significant crazing to the glazes but otherwise the colors are bright. There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs.
A fun, old ceramic figurine to add to your cartoon collection. He has such a cute face.
